On Musik!
Things look brighter when i have the love of my life by my side...my guitar!
Having said that i have to admit that i am the most unfaithfull person alive.
I got i first guitar when i was 12, a Givson F-cut...By the time I was 15 i got my first Electric a Givson Blue Dimond. Then i met a drummer by the name Ankoor Baruah We started a band soon after called the "Entity" and we performed just one show for a handful of college guys at a Rotary Club Function. And that was it .we disbanded.
I left both my guitars back home to pursue my Engineering. But soon it was known to everyone that i play the guitar!!! I was given a jaded givson ( Perrhaps a decade old) durring the ragging period to entertain And soon it became my new love...Though it looked dirty and tattered it just felt so sweet. I use to make love to my old guitars whenever i went home for holidays. But when i am at college i totally forget that they exist.
In 2001 i got a hefty amount as a Scholarship and i brought my first Jumbo guitar..a Hobner with it...Boy she was the most beautiful thing i had ever seen. The finish was excellent and the sound ...fullfilling. I started a new band at college ...we called ourselves " Diabolique Soulz" We sued to play slow accoustic numbers of Wet wet wet, John Denver, Lobo. Shovik Dhar...ya you know him was the Vocalist and Bhaku ...you know him too was the Drummer.
I will say more about Diabolique soulz in another post...cuz its another big story.
Soon we realised we needed more fire to play heavy numbers so my electric came to the scene. But whats a electric guitar without an Overdrive...( overdrive is aeffect for guitars...its the heavy sound you hear in...say smoke on the water) I didnt have the money to buy one....so guess what i sold my Hobner!!!
Diabolique Soulz rocked!!
Soon i got into a job at HPC ( Yeah! everybody knows that tragic story)
I brought a black Hobner jumbo with my first sal.
And for the first time i seriously thought of marriage...
The electric was still there with me...like a cheap whore making unwanted noises...for all those guitarist wannabees my advice to you "Never Buy a Givson electric"
That bitch...she bugged me a lot....and so...ya you guessed it right i sold it off for 1/3rd the price.
Will let you know what happened to the Black hobner in my next posting
Plus there are stories with steamy affairs with a fender and an Ibanez!!! WATCH THIS SPACE
